Katie Couric, these lines are distracting!

Katie, this jacket nearly causes you to look invisible, because it is too close to your superficial coloring. In other words, you blend into your jacket. But the thing I find the most distracting is the busyness of the two lines – your jacket and your blouse. I’d rather see a plain simple scoop-neck shell [...]

Bubble Wrap on the Runway

Part II on our Bubble Wrap day is in honor of  Bubble wrap on the runway. Bubble wrap? That’s right! The next hot fashion item on Paris runways is bubble wrap!

What to Wear to Work on “Bubble Wrap Day”!

Today is National Bubble Wrap Day. (Now I’m not seriously suggesting that you wear bubble wrap to work today.) In case you don’t have the energy to swathe yourself in bubble wrap today, do what these two “um” ladies did. Otherwise, go to town with your bubble wrap- just not at the office!

Katie in Ruby Red

Katie, you’re looking good in that ruby red blouse, and it looks really nice with your dark grey suit with the subtle pinstripes. The suit has a nice cut, too.  Wear more red, Katie!

Michelle’s coat-suit – Color “Experts” Disagree

There’s been a lot of controversy and discussion about the ensemble First Lady Michelle Obama wore to the Inaugural Balls. Some say it’s yellow, some say gold, while othrs call it lemon grass. It looked like a warm yellow with subtle warm green undertones  to me . Experts noted that  the fabric’s shimmery surface made [...]

Katie Couric – Good in Grey

It’s T.G.I.F – January 23, and Katie has on a grey suit with great tailoring and details. I like her choice of a simple black shell underneath. The silver chain necklace works, but the dangly earrings aren’t powerful enough for the business-like grey suitt. You’re looking good, Katie. However, that awful color scheme of [...]

Katie Couric in “Air Force” Blue

Nice suit, Katie, but the blue has a little too much grey in it. Also, I think the blouse is a little too “girlie” for the Evening News. Better to team it with one of your crisp white shirts.

Looking Good, Katie

Inauguration Night and you are looking fabulous in your dark periwinkle blue suit with matching blouse. This is a great color for you, Katie. Hope to see you in more rich and bold colors.

Michelle Obama’s White Inaugural Gown

First Lady, Michelle Obama, looked absolutely divine in white at the Inaugural Ball last night.  A good color choice for her. However, since I do “thin slicing” I can’t help but comment on some of the little distractions I saw. First, the earrings were too long and thin, so they seem a little wimpy [...]

Michelle Obama’s Inauguration Coat Suit

Michelle, I adore you and your natural sense of style; but I think someone is advising you who doesn’t have an eye for color. You look absolutely fabulous in jewel tones as well as basic black. This yellow outfit has a  lime undertone, and very few people wear this color without looking a bit green [...]
