Katie Couric- more somber than ever!
Katie, I do believe this is the most somber I have ever seen you look. I can also suggest that the raglan sleeves are not as flattering as those with a little structuring, thanks to shoulder pads. Drooping shoulders make women look as if they are burdened with the weight of the world.

Katie, this may be your absolutely worst color. Beige washes you out completely. You could save this suit with a scarf to keep you from blending into your clothing, but a scarf is so “ladies lunch” that I’m afraid it wouldn’t be very effective for the evening news! Katie, I hate to sound like a broken record, but you’ve got to get some bold earrings or a wonderful Omega necklace to give you some oomph. Dark suits without accessories (and great makeup) look drab and boring – sometimes even forbidding.

Katie, Katie. Give up the collegiate blouses with a blazer. The blouse is really quite pretty, but it just isn’t powerful with a boring blazer. In case I haven’t said it before: earrings would help!!

Michelle Obama exquisite in “Royal Purple”
Glad to see Michelle following her own instincts again and wearing purple. It’s a color that suits her, because it makes her face light up – and, of course, also because it’s a regal color! Ms. Obama is a source of inspiration for women throughout the country.
