Wedding Plans: A Rustic Evening Under the Stars

As your engagement comes to an end, preparations for a new chapter in your life begin. Planning the perfect wedding is fun and exciting, and one way to create the dreamiest ceremony is by celebrating it under the stars.

For starters, you can rent a clear span tent with a clear top to get a good view of the starry sky. Next is to set up a rustic theme that’ll make your wedding an ethereal memory that’ll last forever.

Lights

If the clear top tent isn’t dreamy enough, add a generous amount of soft yellow string lights on the ceiling from end to end. Use clear bulbs in different sizes for a more eclectic feel. Float tealight candles in mason jars and line them across the tables as a centerpiece.

Set up a wide asymmetrical clay bowl in one corner, fill it with water and float candles and small white flowers to add to the soft, country ambiance.

Flowers

Rustic flowers are a mix of muted purples, reds, and pinks on a bed of white baby’s breath. The bridal bouquet should have long stems, and bigger flowers wrapped in white lace and twine. Bridesmaid’s bouquets should be shorter or lesser than the bridal bouquet with smaller flowers and more long greens.

Keep the same color schemes for table flowers, but keep them dainty and quaint.

Chairs, Tables, and Cutlery

Whitewashed. Dark wood. Weathered Gray. Unfinished. Despite how rugged they look individually, seeing 10 or 12 of them lined up beside a long table will make the reception area look rustic and vintage. Cutlery can be silver or gold and wrapped in twine and lace to match the bridal bouquet.

Can you picture it in your head already? Remember that the rustic theme is best infused with rugged country style. You can use tree stumps, berries, vines, ribbons, and even driftwood as decorations. Put this all together in a perfect evening setting, and you’ll have the most dreamy and surreal wedding of the century.
